About
I believe that most people recognise or believe that having a reasonable sense of balance is important, but many of the patients we see as physiotherapists are not fully aware of how important having a good sense of balance is. Proprioception, also known as kinesthesia, is the ability to sense and move your body and limbs freely in your surroundings. This kinesthetic awareness is essential for everyday life and for sports performance. Proprioception can deteriorate with age, injury, or disease, making daily tasks more difficult and raising your risk of injury and falling. Fortunately, incorporating proprioception training exercises into your routine can reduce your risk of injury while also increasing your fitness levels. Henceforth I comeup witht this 7 day proprioce[tive training program for all of you to improve your sense of balance and prevent from recurrent injuries . Equipment required: Markers / Cone ( less likely) Tips to Consider: 1. Determine which of your legs is your dominant one. Begin each exercise with your nondominant side to make the other side easier. 2. Maintain good posture and form while you’re holding the position. 3. To keep your balance, fix your gaze on a fixed point straight ahead. 4. If you're having trouble keeping your balance while standing, try spreading your feet wider.
